Hi...
I'm Kailey - a mostly self taught and multi-passionate western artist. As a cowboy's wife, mama, and small business owner my days are spent juggling paintbrushes and wild cowkids and homemade biscuits.

Home for myself, my husband, and our two daughters is a large working ranch in the heart of the Great Basin - Nevada. It's far from the luxuries of town but I don't mind, as it affords me endless inspiration for my work. I wake up every morning to the stunning and rugged beauty of the high desert west and all that comes with it - cowboys, broncs, dusty lonesome sagebrush country, and so much more.

I have been tooling leather in my unique style for over ten years; a hobby turned full time business after I fell in love with the old cowboy trade during my time attending college pursuing an Ag degree. I will never stop thanking my sadldle building roommates for that one.

In the winter of 2024 I found my way back to fine art painting and became enthralled with watercolors once again. I enjoy these challenging little paints and the journey of learning how to use the unpredictable and stunning medium has been difficult but oh so fulfilling. These days I spend just about as much time at the easel as I do my workbench.

Through my work, I aim to portray the story of today's modern west from a perspective often lost in the romantic picture of the cowboy and sunset. The authentic view from cowboy gal, tired mama, western creative, and cowboy's wife. The story of the grit and grace shown by the women behind the scenes; we're cooking for the branding crew and homeschooling kids and working hard with our hands to supplement those cowboy wages. It's a story that's every bit as worthy as the epic cowboy tale and I hope folks can feel that when they see my work.
